The Bardini Garden is a garden of art. Visitors can admire more than 100 statues and sculptures which were made during the seventeenth century and 13 fountains, six of which are located along the wall that separates the staircase from the “English forest”: This ‘wall fountain’ is a particular solution used in the baroque gardens of Central Italy, a wall with a series of fountains, once used for watering the garden. Today these six fountains decorated with mosaics of different stones, have been restored. In particular at the bottom of the stairs with the flower garden, visitors can enjoy a relaxing moment listening to the gentle sound of falling water in the shell shaped stone basins. In the English garden (the western part of the Bardini garden) there also is a channel (the only one in Florence) with water plants and a matchless fountain with a dragon of oriental origin.
