An Exhibition Room for Hens, Nature and Modern Art

The building, which was designed by Dutch architect Wiel Aerts, is characterised by walls of glass and concrete, which have a surprising effect in combination with the high garden hedges.

The basic layout of the “Hedge House” is also surprising, because it results in a constantly changing interplay between the inner and outer areas. The complete complex comprising the castle, park and exhibition room is a successful example of an all-embracing design where old and new reinforce each other and where some happy hens have space to live and roam.
